Mark Weller, Executive Manager Business Advisory
Mark holds a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University, a Bachelor of Social Science from Edith Cowan University and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Mark has broad experience in local government having worked at Executive Manger level in the Corporate Services area in addition to Manager Human Resources and Manager Community Development with the City of Albany over a period of 8 years.
For the past two and a half years Mark has provided project development, human resource development, education and training services for Australian local governments. Recent projects include:
- Development of asset management position descriptions and an asset management training matrix for a large Eastern States council;
- Preparation of feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, needs assessment, risk analysis, project management plans and funding submissions for WA council’s infrastructure projects; and
- The role of industry expert as part of the project team which developed the Great Southern Institute of Technology’s local government e-learning course. This program was the winner of the Government Skills Australia 2012 award for excellence in e-learning.
Mark has also previously provided human resource management consultancy services to small to medium enterprise business. These services involve strategic planning for workforce development, recruitment, induction, positive performance management and IR advice.
Within his role as Executive Manager Business Advisory at Core Business Australia, Mark focuses on offering Human Resource Management, Training, Recruitment, Project Development and Business Development services to clients as well as within the organisation.
